Job Summary
The Sr. Application Analyst - Ambulatory will function as a resource expert with an in-depth working knowledge of the medical office/clinic workflow environment. The Sr. Application Analyst - Ambulatory will work in a team environment with varied stakeholders including office staff, independent providers, and hospital-based providers in conjunction with the system integration of the acute and ambulatory systems. Responsive to facilitating application refinements or corrections provided by subject matter experts. Independently provides system consultation, analysis and overall leadership related to acquisition, support and use of complex, integrated computing applications in the Ambulatory space. Uses project management methodology and tools to manage projects. This individual may provide direction and or oversee work performed in relation to an assigned project and/or a specific business service workflow and correction. As a member of the Information Services department, this individual may at times, function as both a team leader and effective team member. Willing and able to travel to multiple worksites.
Service Areas:
Ambulatory Clinical Focus
The Sr. Application Analyst – Ambulatory will support clinical applications used in the Ambulatory Clinics and Physician Practices. This individual will be responsible for implementation/support of Meditech Expanse Ambulatory Software integrated with the acute care hospitals. This individual will collaborate with clinic/practice subject matter experts to troubleshoot, enhance, correct, thoughtful, efficient workflows that enhance and support clinic/office functions providing quality outcomes and office practice efficiencies.
Ambulatory Financial Focus
The Sr. Application Analyst – Ambulatory will support clinical/financial applications used in the Ambulatory Clinics and Physician Practices. This individual will be responsible for implementation/support of Meditech Expanse Ambulatory Software integrated with both the stand-alone and the 1206D hospital based departments. This individual will collaborate with clinic/practice subject matter experts, as well as, the organizations business office and 3rd party billing company to ensure clean claims, regulation compliance, maximize reimbursement through correct billing and support of medical necessity through complete documentation and coding. Prompt follow up on claim denial with research and resolution is required. Prior 1206D experience is preferred.

Minimum Education Requirement :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in the area of a clinical field, business, or computer related field is highly desired. 5-10 years of related experience in lieu of education may be considered.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
A minimum of five years supporting clinical/financial application in an Ambulatory environment. Working within an integrated delivery network of hospitals and clinics is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills. Five years software system experience in the ambulatory area. Knowledge of the challenges working with medical office billing and clinical workflows to support excellent patient health. Proven experience in achieving a high degree of reimbursement though clean billing. Experience with one of the Major Ambulatory Vendors is required (Epic, Nextgen, Allscripts, eClinical Works, Meditech). Proven Project management skills including use of planning, workflow analysis, consensus building, testing, training, validation testing, go live planning and support is preferred. Strong analytic reasoning. Team Leadership skills. Clear, concise oral and written communications skills.
