Job Summary
The Clinical Cardiac Educator will participate in planning, organizing, and evaluating patient care with an emphasis on cardiac services in the Critical Care Units, Cath Lab and Emergency Department (ED), Definitive Observation Unit (DOU). Under the supervision of the Corporate Director of Critical Care Services, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of high quality, evidence-based educational programs to enhance cardiac care across the critical care and DOU units. The Clinical Educator will serve as a resource for nurses, providing support in the coordination of advanced nursing skills, patient follow-up, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
This role requires collaboration with leadership, medical staff, and the interdisciplinary team to foster a strong clinical environment and professional growth among nurses.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement :
Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement :
Previous experience as an educator preferred. Two years experience with critical care, or cath lab, and/or cardiac surgery preferred. Open-heart surgery experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.
Minimum License Requirement :
Current California RN license. BLS required. ACLS required within 3 months of hire/transfer. Emanate Health Work Place Violence online awareness module within 30 days of hire/transfer. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification "A" required within 3 months of hire/transfer. Certification in area of specialty preferred.
