Job Summary
Provides administrative support to the Director/Vice President. This support includes maintaining files, maintaining appointment calendar, making all meeting/travel arrangements, taking and preparing minutes, independently creating correspondence, and performing general clerical duties such as filing, copying, answering telephones, distributing mail. Works closely with the VP/Director, Managers and staff members in the performance of all duties required within assigned department.
Biomed -The Biomedical Administrative Assistant provides advanced administrative, operational, and compliance support to the Biomedical Engineering department. Plays a key part in department efficiency, regulatory readiness, vendor coordination, and data management. The assistant serves as a central liaison between biomedical leadership, technicians, vendors, and hospital departments, supporting day-to-day operations as well as long-term departmental initiatives.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors or Associates Degree in related area or equivalent work experience preferred. . Ability to take meeting minutes. Typing speed of 55 wpm. Advanced Word Processing and Spreadsheet experience required with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of good grammar, punctuation, proofreading and spelling. Ability to compose letters independently. Ability to handle multiple tasks and determine priorities.
Biomed - High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Three to five (3-5) years of experience in Health Care Administration or similar office environment. Excellent customer service skills.
Biomed -Minimum of three (3) years administrative or operational support experience required, healthcare or technical environment preferred. Experience supporting leadership or managing department-level administrative functions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) strongly preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. High level of attention to detail and data accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Professional demeanor with strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
